Donald Trump really likes to blame other people for his failures. Especially Democrats. And China. And Immigrants. Of course, politicians try to deflect blame for mistakes, particularly during an election season, but Donald Trump’s behavior takes the practice to a new and dangerous level. His rhetoric about blue states and democratic cities and FEMA and migrants is divisive and dangerous. And it has no place in the American presidency.
Donald Trump only knows grievance and division. He uses chaos and fear to pit Americans against each other for his own political gain. Now, the stakes are even higher because Donald Trump sees winning the presidency as a way to keep himself out of jail for any of the 90+ charges currently filed against him. You do not factor into this equation; it is all about him.
Many voters think, well, I know he’s not really going to do all this stuff, but at least he’s fighting for me. Donald Trump has maintained the veneer of fighting for the little guy when his entire history and record as president say otherwise.

Putting aside the fact that Donald Trump has never fought for anyone but Donald Trump, the truth is that leaving vast swaths of the population out of the American Dream harms all Americans.
DIVISION AND CHAOS HURT YOUR INTERESTS
Donald Trump is willing to lie about hurricane relief and cause actual harm to Americans because he thinks it will help him get elected.
DIVISION PREVENTS PROBLEM SOLVING
The perceived gap between what Americans on either side of the policy divide think makes progress impossible. When one side is convinced the other is killing infants (it isn’t), it’s hard to solve a problem like corporate greed.

A poll taken in February found that 3 in 5 Americans now think corporate greed is a major cause of inflation. And data backs this up. Donald Trump doesn’t have a plan to fix this. While he yells about mass deportation and violence, he’s also promising huge tax cuts to corporations that would increase profits and monopolization and leave even more Americans behind.
A 2019 report examining the result of Trump’s first tax cut found that “a cut to the corporate income tax rate would increase post-tax monopoly profits.” And that is just what Trump promises to do in a second term — further cut corporate taxes and increase corporate monopolistic wealth.
Donald Trump’s gifts to his corporate friends create huge deficits and make it harder for the government to solve problems that help working and middle-class Americans. Economies do better when everyone is lifted up, not during times of uncertainty and division. Even Donald Trump knows that.
