Donald Trump’s Mental Decline is Dangerous and Impossible to Ignore
Donald Trump is not OK. Anyone who was concerned about Biden's mental readiness should be terrified of a second Trump term.

Donald Trump has never been known for his ability to speak coherently. He has always jumped from subject to subject, a trait that has somehow escaped real scrutiny for almost a decade since he entered politics. He has and continues to be held to a looser standard than any other politician. As pundits breathlessly analyzed every slip President Biden made, Donald Trump was confusing Nikki Haley with former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and seeming to forget he was not running against former president Obama.
During their only debate, President Biden showed the world that he had, indeed, lost a step. His performance overshadowed the reality that Donald Trump didn’t make a lot of sense either.
Even in the months since that infamous debate, Donald Trump has noticeably declined. He is canceling interviews because of exhaustion. He backed out of a second debate with Vice President Harris, appearances on 60 Minutes, CNBC, NBC, and even events with the NRA and RFK Jr., which couldn’t be friendlier venues. He is in hiding.
His age and instability make him more dangerous than he was four years ago. His rhetoric is increasingly violent and profane. He is doubling down on using the military to go after his “enemies within,” or American citizens with whom he disagrees.
Because when he does appear in public, his decline is glaring. He repeats himself, makes things up — like an audience going wild at his debate with Vice President Harris — gives increasingly nonsensical answers and sometimes doesn’t even seem to understand what he is being asked.
Vice President Harris releases an 82-page economic policy book, and still gets blasted for not having any plans while Donald Trump play acts at working and comments on a dead golfer’s penis, and is somehow seen as funny and capable.
For example, when addressing the issue of child care last month, Trump said,
“Well, I would do that, and we’re sitting down. You know, I was somebody — we had, Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka, was so impactful on that issue. It’s a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about — that, because look, child care is child care, couldn’t — you know, there’s something — you have to have it in this country. You have to have it. But when you talk about those numbers, compared to the kind of numbers that I’m talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they’re not used to.”
He thinks his magic tariffs will solve everything.
He famously ended a town hall to sway to music for 39 minutes. He only appears on friendly stations and even then has a hard time. He promises whatever he thinks the people nearest to him at the time want to hear with no understanding of the policies or their implications.
And what happens if Donald Trump is unable to make it through a four-year term? We have a President Vance, who has proven himself to be more extreme, incredibly hostile to women and fully capable of implementing the insane policies outlined in Project 2025. This is a risk we cannot take.
