Project 2025 is a 900-plus-page policy plan created by the right-wing Heritage Foundation and over 140 former Trump staffers and MAGA allies. It outlines policies for radically changing how government works, from eliminating popular departments to weaponizing federal agencies. The plan consolidates power into a strong executive who can use the federal government in a partisan way against citizens, journalists, or anyone against whom the president has a grievance.
Project 2025 also reduces access to critical healthcare resources, including placing further restrictions on abortion that would amount to a national ban and severely restrict doctors' abilities to perform routine reproductive healthcare procedures that are wholly unrelated to abortion. It also abolishes key provisions of Obamacare and allows insurance companies to discriminate against people with preexisting health conditions again.
